Toward building Belltown community
NOTES FROM JUNE 25, JULY 30
Met at Compass Center on Third Ave. on June 25
Met at Mars Hill Graduate School on July 30
Discussions at both meetings centered around need to "get the word out" about the individual activities and needs of the Belltown Covenant organizations. This led to a consensus about a BELLTOWN COVENANT PROJECT: the publication/distribution of a "Belltown Volunteer" guide, which would profile each of our Covenant organizations. The goal is two-fold:
1. Introduce the residential community of Belltown to the variety of ministries, social services, and related activities happening in their neighborhoods
2. Expose the needs and volunteer opportunities to the residential community of Belltown.
Where do we go with this idea? That's on the agenda for our next meeting, September 24, 12Noon.
